The action packed franchise is back for another round of explosions flying muscle cars motorcycles, and family. Fast X is officially the final lap of this 22year long race but there’s a catch. Fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that there is enough gas in the Fast and Furious tank for a part 2 sequel.
The Fast X trailer hinted at what the 2023 blockbuster has in store for the returning protagonist Dominic Toretto. It is nothing short of wild Fast and Furious-style adrenaline packed with Dodge Chargers and Chevrolet Impalas. With the Aquaman actor 6’4 hulking Jason Momoa to play the new villain things are about to turn rough for Dom’s team.
Star power is through the roof with Cardi B Daniela Melchior, Jason Statham and John Cenareturning to play their roles alongside the fresh cast members. As Vin Diesel himself quoted The most important thing in life will always be family. The people right here, right now.
Dom’s Family Vs A New Vengeance-Fuelled Villain
The barbecue scene towards the end of Fast 9 marked the reunion of Dom’s gang after a victory a recurring theme in the saga giving their cars a break. Yet in a mid credit scene we catch a glimpse of Deckard Shaw meeting Han. The possibility of Han and Shaw working together with Dom in the tenth installment rang bells of excitement for Fast X.
Han and Shaw won’t have time to celebrate their friendship. As the trailer introduced a new bloodthirsty villain who’s ready to flip Dom’s team and his barbecue upside down. Those who watched the entire saga are aware of how chronologically messed up the Fast and Furious timeline is and it’s about to get much worse.
The vengeful brute Dante is in fact Hernan Reyes son from Fast 5 seeking payback for his father and kin. Those who watched Fast 9 would notice the familiarity. It’s a reflection of Dom’s own early life. Seemingly intelligent powerful and a mirror image of Dom Dante guarantees to be the franchise’s scariest villain.
To fight off the final boss of the series, Dom’s squad will have to assemble new plans loads of action and a new collection of good ol’ American muscle. The stakes are higher than ever as Dominique now has a child to protect.
To back him up his faithful younger brother returns in a Chevrolet El Camino with rocket launchers strapped to its sides. Cinephiles will witness Jakob blow up a couple of bad guys in a heart-stopping action scene.
