Exclusive Chris Evans Returning In Captain America New World Order

Never say never  especially if you’ve worked for Kevin Feige. Our trusted and proven sources tell us that Chris Evans is on his way back to the MCU for Captain America  New World Order. They also tell us that rather than a starring role  Evans will appear in a cameo.

Publicly Chris Evans hasn’t seemed very agreeable to the idea of playing Steve Rogers again but he’s stopped short of a hard no. While on one hand he’s made it clear that he sees Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as rightly taking up the mantle of Captain America he hasn’t completely dismissed the notion of returning.

At the time  Chris Evans’s interviewer suggested something that had been mentioned a lot by fans seeing Evans return for the story of how he brings the Infinity Stones to their rightful places at the end of Avengers Endgame. Since we know his appearance in Captain America: New World Order will only be a cameo  it seems doubtful the Infinity Stone quest is what we’d see in the film. Though, in a roundabout way it could be related.

One possibility is that the cameo will see Chris Evans once again play the elderly version of Steve Rogers we see after his time travel adventure in Endgame. In spite of all the references we’ve heard   including multiple times in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier   of Rogers being  gone  his death in the MCU has never been confirmed.

The general public of the MCU believes Steve Rogers is dead  except for those theorizing he’s living on The Moon  but they seem to think he died fighting Thanos just like Tony Stark. It’s possible this is a fiction perpetrated by the Avengers to give Steve some peace and quiet in his twilight years.

The other likely possibility is that he’ll appear in some kind of flashback. Since Carl Lumbly has been confirmed to reprise his role as Isaiah Bradley   a super soldier and Korean War veteran who was imprisoned by the United States government and escaped in the 1980s   it’s possible we might see some kind of untold meeting between Rogers and Bradley after the former’s thawing.

Of course, it could always be something of the more super variety that brings Chris Evans to Captain America: New World Order. A character with shape shifting abilities could disguise themselves as Steve someone with illusion creating abilities could fake the image of Steve  it could be a variant from another timeline, etc. In the MCU  there aren’t a lot of limits.
