The Flash is about to reset the DC Universe and Aquaman star Jason Momoa is showing his support to Barry Allen actor Ezra Miller. Momoa and Miller first worked together on the ill fated 2017 Justice League. As the DC Universe goes through a revitalization under James Gunn and Peter Safran The Flash recently released a thrilling first trailer during the Super Bowl which Momoa has decided to hype up in a new post.
Momoa shared The Flash's new trailer on Instagram showing his support to friend Miller with a caption that included an affectionate Love you Ezra.
As the franchise undergoes The Flash movie's reset of the DC Universe it is uncertain if Momoa and Miller will continue in their roles. If one or both of the actors ends up leaving DC behind there is a chance they share the screen for at least one scene in The Flash.
Why The Flash Movie Is So Exciting
The Flash movie directed by It's Andy Muschietti is said to loosely adapt the iconic DC Comics Flash centric event Flash point. The recent Super Bowl trailer showcased that focal story point with Miller's Barry Allen choosing to be in a timeline where his mother was alive. The comics version of Flash point included Wonder Woman's home of Themyscira and Aquaman's Atlantis involved in a big Amazon Atlantean war. However, that plot point doesn't appear in the movie as backed up by the The Flash Super Bowl trailer which contained no hints to the story line at all.
Momoa might have had a role in The Flash but if so it may have been removed. It was reported that Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot filmed scenes as Superman and Wonder Woman for the movie but both were cut. If Gadot was in the movie the comic book connection between her character and Momoa's likely points to the actor not showing up in it either. While the absence of those characters might upset audiences the introduction of new ones like Sasha Calle's Supergirl makes The Flash a very exciting movie. The multiverse aspect of The Flash is undoubtedly its main selling point which the recent trailer excelled at displaying.
