Fast X’s Intense Rome Car Sequence Teased By Vin Diesel With BTS Image

Star Vin Diesel teases that Fast X will feature a standout car action sequence in Rome and shares a new behind-the-scenes photo from the on-location shoot. The tenth installment in the popular and long-running Fast & Furious franchise Fast X sees Dominic Toretto Diesel and his crew of talented drivers taking on a new villain in the form of Jason Momoa's Dante. The film which is directed by Louis Leterrier  is set to once more take Dom and the rest of the crew to various locales around the world including Rome and places in South America.

The actor doesn't reveal too many specifics about the scene but his caption and the accompanying image suggest that much of the set piece was captured on location. In addition to teasing the Italy sequences in Fast X Diesel also takes time in his caption to thank all the other countries that have previously been included in the Fast & Furious saga over the last twenty years.

What The Fast X Trailer Reveals About The Rome Action Sequence

Although the trailer has undoubtedly been cut to avoid spoiling too much about the movie's Rome scenes it does reveal that the city will play host to one of the movie's bigger set pieces. After teasing that Momoa's Fast X villain has a penchant for explosives a large rolling metal ball is shown devastating the streets of Rome. Leterrier recently revealed that much of this sequence was actually captured practically  with the production actually using a one-ton metal ball during filming.

The trailer has already teased that the scenes in Rome may go beyond just the large bomb featuring some car on car action as well. In one scene Diesel's Dom is shown driving alongside a river as an explosive blast behind him lays waste to the police cars giving chase. Dom seemingly isn't the only character that will get to participate in a big action sequence in Rome however with Michelle Rodriguez's Letty featured riding a motorcycle along main roads and cramped back alleys.

So far it's not clear what other members of Dom's Fast X team will also be involved in the Rome action sequence. Roman Tyrese Gibson and Tej Ludacris typically play an important role in most of the franchise's big action set pieces  so it's possible that they will be involved in the sequence in some way that just wasn't shown in the trailer. While Rome will seemingly be an important location in Fast X most Fast & Furious movies feature action across a variety of continents. What was shown in the Fast X trailer might just be the tip of the iceberg.
